James Melton Kirk

James Melton Kirk was born in Greenville, MS on December 1, 1940 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on March 8, 2018 at the age of 77 years. James was the son of James T. and Vera (Autry) Kirk. He was a resident of Stroud for a short time moving from Bossier, LA. He was affiliated with the Catholic Church and worked as a High School Science Teacher for 30 years in Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma. James loved a variety of sports including his beloved LSU Tigers, and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Betty Rusk, and one daughter Rhonda Kirk. Survivors include three sons, Donald Kirk of Saucier, MS, James and wife Ashley Kirk of Cheyenne, WY, Brian and Theresa Kirk of Stroud, 1 sister Faye Childers of Jasper, TX, and grandchildren: Victoria, Matthew, Brianna, Braelynn, Ryleigh, Bella, and one great granddaughter: Vasilisa, and nieces and nephews.
