James L. Hogue

James Luther Hogue, Harrah, OK, age 89, was born on February 17, 1917, in Centrahoma, OK. He was the son of George & Stella Mooney Hogue. He left this life on May 25, 2006, in Harrah, OK. James served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Infantry Division. He married Betty Penix Hogue on April, 6, 1956 in Erick, OK. James lived in the Harrah area for 36 years and worked as a PME lab tech at Tinker AFB, retiring after 33 years. He was a member of the McLoud Masonic Lodge #126. His hobbies included ranching, farming, gardening and watchmaking. James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include 1 son, George Hogue of Newalla; 3 daughters & 2 sons-in-law, Sherri Hogue of Harrah, Nancy & Fred Allie of Tulsa, OK, Bridget & Gary Marotz of Cedar Park, TX; 2 sisters, Evie Sebastian of Meeker, OK, Flora Mae Batcheler of Waterford, CA; 8 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah OK. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
