OBITUARY: James I. ?Jim? Lake James I. ?Jim? Lake, Harrah, OK, age 70, was born on April 22, 1933, in Edmond, OK. He was the son of Bernard and Mozelle Dean Lake. He left this life on December 13, 2003, in Harrah, OK. James served in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Mary Jane Justus on June 16, 1956 in Edmond, OK. He attended Edmond High School and in 1970, graduated from Central State College, Edmond, OK. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1993. After retirement, he worked in security at Walmart and was a greeter at Council Road Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Newalla. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes. James dearly loved his grandson, Preston and his job at Walmart. James was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bernard R. Lake and Donald L. Lake. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Lake, of the home; son, James R. Lake, Harrah, OK; daughter, Amy Gilpatrick, Midwest City, OK; grandson, Preston James Gilpatrick. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 18, 2003, at Council Road Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, OK, with Rev. Griff Henderson officiating. Arrangements by Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
