James Henry Campbell

James Henry Campbell, long-time Meeker, Oklahoma, resident was born on August 31, 1926, in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and departed this life Saturday, August 23, 2014, in Oklahoma City at the age of 87 years. James was the son of James E. and Alma (Suter) Campbell. He married Thelma Wishard on November 15, 1947, in McAlester, Oklahoma. James served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a retired Civil Service worker, and member of the Meeker First United Methodist Church and Meeker Masonic Lodge. His parents, wife, one brother, and one sister, preceded James in death. Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Dawn Campbell of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and James C. and Barbara Campbell of Sparks, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and William Ballard of Meeker; three brothers, Robert Campbell of Ben Wheeler, Texas, James L. Campbell of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Charles Campbell of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Edna Sensibaugh of Springfield, Oregon; numerous grandchildren, great-grand children, other relatives and many friends. A service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Resthaven Chapel, Shawnee, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carla Hale officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
