James Hardy Orr

James Hardy Orr was born on April 1, 1921, in Stilwell, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at his home in Welty, OK, at the age of 84. Hardy, the son of John Henry and Sarah 'Millie' Richards Orr, was a long-time resident of Welty, OK. He married Billie Wilson on March 15, 1950, in Cushing, OK. Hardy served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked in the oilfield and was a member of the Burnett Mission Church in Paden. His parents, one brother, and two sisters preceded Hardy in death. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Billie Orr of the home; daughters, Diane Walkup of Meeker and Darla Orr of Ada; granddaughters,Jamie Walkup of Paden, Amy Walkup of Paden, Destiny Smith of Ada; grandson, Haden Sparks of Ada; great-grandson, Jalen Vorise of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Lonnnie and Pauline Orr of Paden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Phillip White of Stroud and Alta Mae and Cecil Brown of Stroud; brother-in-law,Tommy and Lura Wilson in Okmulgee; sisters-in-law,Jane Case of Paden and Fran Wilson of Yukon; several nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
