James H. Davis

March 21, 1939 — April 8, 2023

James Henry Davis departed this life to his Heavenly home on April 8, 2023 surrounded by his family at his home in Stroud, OK.

Jim was born to Howard P. Davis and Irma F (Simpson) Davis on March 21, 1939 in Manhattan, Kansas. He graduated from Laramie High School and then went on to the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY. Jim went on to join the United State Army and served his country. He went to work for a computer company where he met Wynn Bland and they went on to get married on November 1, 1974 in Laramie, WY. They went on together and worked alongside each other for many years then decided to move back to Wynn’s hometown of Stroud and retire. Jim did go back to work for while at NAICO in Chandler then finally fully retired in the early 90’s. Jim had a passion for music, he loved playing and jazz was his genre of choice. Jim was a member of Stroud First Baptist Church, him and Wynn even taught Sunday school for a while. After God, his family was his number one priority. He was also a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Jim was a kind, humble, giving, well loved and respected man; he will undoubtedly be deeply missed.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Irma Davis; son Andy Davis; daughter Suzanne Davis; and sister Patti Davis.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 48 years Wynn Davis; sister Jane Langdon; daughters Brenda Hardegan, and Penny McFaddon; son Kevin Davis; stepdaughter Traci Walach and stepson Tommie Blaylock; numerous grandchildren; as well as extended family and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Stroud First Baptist Church. A guest book is available to share your memories on-line. Please visit www.ParksBrothers.net. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
