James Don "Jimmy Don" Ginn

James Don 'Jimmy Don' Ginn, life-long Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on July 13, 1944, in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on February 2, 2014, in Shawnee, at the age of 69 years. Jimmy Don was the son of Jim and Dorothy (Telford) Ginn. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1963, and served in the United States Marine Corps, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Jimmy Don worked as a heavy equipment operator for Lincoln County District II for many years. He married Betty Burkhart on May 29, 1999, in La Cygne, KS. His parents preceded Jimmy Don in death. Survivors include, his wife, Betty of the home; two sons, Jesse Ginn of Chandler, and Carl Burkhart of Edmond, OK; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Richard Giargiari of Chandler, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Bill Delphone of Chandler, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Parks Brothers Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
