Jacob Ray Melrose (Rozell) born July 31, 1978, went to be with his Lord and Savior June 23, 2022. Jacob was raised by Sherryl Rozell (mother), The late James Nance (father) and John Rozell (Stepfather).
Jacob attended SNU school for children first-fourth grade in Bethany, OK. The family relocated in 1989 to Chandler, OK where Jacob attended fifth-twelve grade and graduated from Chandler High School in 1997. In 2015 he earned his Enterprise Development Degree from OSU-OKC.
Growing up Jacob found most of his enjoyment playing sports. You name it, he played it! He was truly an athlete. He won a multitude of awards and after graduation was selected for McDonalds All State Football Team and he scored two touch downs during the Tulsa game. As an adult some of his hobbies included watching University of Oklahoma football, horse races with his dad, and coaching his children’s soccer teams.
Jacob was the only son of four children. He had three sisters, Natalie, Ashley, and Katie, who he absolutely adored. He had ten nieces and nephews and he made them all feel special and loved. Family meant everything to Jacob. In 2013, Jacob married the love of his life, Kelli Melrose. They had three beautiful children, Olivia (8), Roxi (6), and Christian (5). His children were his WORLD!
Jesus was always #1 in Jacob’s life. He loved to praise and worship and share testimonies whenever he could. His heart was big and always on fire for Jesus!
He is survived by his beloved wife Kelli Melrose; two daughters Olivia Melrose, Roxi Melrose; son Christian Melrose; Mother Sherryl Rozell; Stepfather John Rozell; Stepmother Beverly Ross-Shirley; sisters Natalie Melrose, Ashley Reid and husband Trent; Katie Northrup and husband Ryan; brother Derrick White; Nieces and nephews Erricka, Raelisa, Natalya, Chevy Ann, Austin, Gabby, Dallas, King, Summer, Peyton; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by father James Nance; stepsister Desire Shirley; grandparents Pat and Ray Melrose, Betty and Watts Rozell, Grandmother Esther Richardson.
