Jack Rhea Jones, known to many as ?Papa Jack?, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on June 21, 1946, in Marietta, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 27, 2006, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 59 years. Jack was the son of Melba Rhea Williams and step-son of Joe Williams. Jack attended and graduated from Marietta High School, Marietta, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Era. Jack married LaChrica Coyle Jones on April 11, 1970, in Marietta. Jack worked as a teacher, coach and driver?s education instructor at Chandler High School and Oklahoma City Public Schools for many years. He holds a BA from Southeastern State University, Durant, Oklahoma and a Master?s Degree from Central State University, Edmond, Oklahoma. Jack attended the Church of Christ of Chandler and was a member of the Church of Christ in Marietta, Past Commander of Chandler American Legion, Worshipful Master of Chandler Masonic Lodge in 1990 and is the current Worshipful Master of Davenport Masonic Lodge, K.C.C.H. of the Scottish Rite, and Past Commander of the Legion of Honor of India Temple Shrine. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandfather, Wiley Rhea; who was instrumental in his rearing. Survivors include wife LaChrica of the home, one son & Daughter-in-law Justin & Lori Jones of Chandler, OK. Two daughters & Son-in-law:Inda Jo & Jake Austin of Los Angeles, CA, Kallie Jo Jones of Winter Park, FL. One sister Sissy Gant of Marietta, OK. Four Grandchildren Kaden Rhea, McKenzie, Blayne & Jayden Other relatives and many friends.
