Jack Leroy Harrison

Jack Leroy Harrison was born on January 9, 1929, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, March 17, 2016, in Sparks at the age of 87. Jack, the son of Orra and Sudie Jane (Kelley) Harrison, was a long-time resident of Prague. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Rozella A. Stewart, on September 20, 1952, and they remained married until her death in 2000. He later married Dorothy Stephens and moved to McLoud. Jack worked in the oilfield and as a rancher. He loved horses, calf roping and working with cattle. He also coached baseball and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jack’s parents, first wife, Rozella, two brothers, Doyle and Cloyd, two sisters, Eva Oliver and Pearl Reid, and granddaughter, Randa Shai Sjoberg preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Stephens of the home; sons, Rex and Mary Harrison of Prague and Glen Harrison and Dawn Hoffman of Sparks; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Curtis Smith of Prague and Sheri and Mike Wyant of Prague; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; other family and friends. The Harrison family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
