Carney, Oklahoma, resident, Jack L. Reese, was born on December 9, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, and departed this life on December 22, 2005, at his residence in Carney, at the age of 77 years. Jack was the son of Kenneth L. and Neva Walters Reese. He was a paratrooper in the United States Army, during the Korean War. Jack was married to Zella Fay Reese, she passed away on March 14, 1970. He then married, Opal Hackworth on October 16, 1981, in Carney. Jack worked many years as a truck driver. He was retired from Transcon Trucking, having earned his million mile certificate. Jack was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Carney and was a 32 degree mason. His parents, first wife and one brother preceded Jack in death. Survivors include, Wife, Opal of the home, Three sons, Fred Reese of Purcell, OK, Jack Reese of McIntosh, NM, Richard Reese of Perkins, OK, One brother, Billy Reese of Perkins, OK, Two sisters, Doris Meyers of Los Lunis NM, Sally Smith of Kansas City, MO, Five grandchildren, Ten great-grandchildren. More relatives and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be, Joe Simon, Alvin Brown, Neil Brown, Leroy Corn, Bob Skaggs and Fred Nesbet.
