J. Mack Archibald

James Mack Archibald was born in St Joseph, MO on April 23, 1938 and departed this life in Bristow, Oklahoma on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the age of 74 years. J. Mack Archibald was the son of James Byron and Irene Vera (McClane) Archibald. J. Mack moved to El Paso, TX in 1942, then moved to Bristow, Oklahoma in 1977 and in 1979 moved to Depew, Oklahoma. He was affiliated with the Church of God in Depew, Oklahoma and Retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone on October 16, 1992 after 36 years of service. His hobbies were playing golf, working with stain glass and doing genealogy. J. Mack married Betty L. Smith in Miami, Oklahoma on November 23, 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Irene Archibald and step-mother, Betty Louise Archibald. Survivors include, Wife, Betty of the home, One Son, James Greg Archibald of Shawnee, OK, Two Daughters & Son in Laws, Terry Lynn & Jimmy Cahill of Albuquerque, NM, Michele Denise & Steve Dowdy of Yukon, OK, Three Grandchildren, Nichole Sprowso & husband Nick of Grand Junction, Colorado, Presley & Ethan Dowdy of Yukon, OK, Other relative and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Church of God, Depew, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Clyde McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma. The family has requested in lieu of flower make donation to the American Cancer Society.
