Izora Louise Milliken

Izora Louise Patterson Milliken was born on October 15, 1918, in Fluvanna, Texas, and departed this life on Monday, April 6, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. Izora, the daughter of Vibrian Lafyett and Cora Jane Dowdy Patterson, was a resident of Prague. She married George Alton Milliken on April 16, 1940 in Sweetwater, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1988. Izora was a homemaker, a retail clerk, and a member of the Church of Christ. She touched many lives with her love, funny stories, and bright smile. Her parents and one brother, Royce Patterson, also preceded Izora in death. Survivors include son, John Lewis Milliken of Colorado City, TX; sister-in-law, Helen Patterson; daughter and son-in-law, Marchita and Sam Carpenter of Prague; grandchildren, Miki Wilson, Chad Carpenter, Dustin Carpenter, Cassie Mhoon, Rowdy Mhoon; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; 1 nephew; and many friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Lonnie Hutton officiating. Burial is private.
