Isabelle Marie Mount

Isabelle Marie Pellegrini Mount passed away June 19, 2015 at the age of 95 years, 5 months, 27 days. Izzie was born December 22, 1919 in Lehigh Oklahoma to Italian immigrant parents Ernesto and Clotilde Enrieto Pellegrini. She was the youngest of 8 children and the last surviving child of Ernesto and Clotilde. Izzie graduated from Lehigh High School in 1937 and attended cosmetology school in Ada before moving to Tulsa where she met the love of her life Pete Mount. They were married in June 1947. Their marriage lasted 44 years until Pete’s passing in 1991. To this union two sons, Mike and Scott were born. Isabelle loved her sons greatly and willingly sacrificed much for their happiness. Isabelle was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and homemaker, which was her true calling. Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband Pete, her parents Ernesto and Clotilde, 4 sisters – Margaret, Teresina, Ernestine and Julia. 3 brothers – Nicolina, John and Louis. She is survived by her sons Mike and Scott, grandchildren Stephanie Mount, Cole and Micayla Mount, Angie and Troy Robinson and 4 great grandchildren Allie, Alex, Dylan and Trevor, special daughter-in-law Linda, special friend and neighbor Chris and special future grandson-in-law Shane. Isabelle was a smart, beautiful and amazing woman who will be missed tremendously by her family and friends. She was a strong woman born of a strong woman. Isabelle’s father died when she was an infant leaving her mother to raise 6 children under the age of 12. She could also be a little stubborn as evidenced by her insistence on continuing to live alone in her long time family home until her death. Her family would like to thank her many amazing caregivers at St Francis Hospital.
