Iris Maurine Newnam

Iris Maurine Newnam, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on June 4, 1912, in Catalpha, Arkansas, and departed this life on May 4, 2008, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years. Iris was the daughter of Cryras Jackson and Mary Ann Campbell Roberts. She married William C. Newnam on September 20, 1930, in Chandler. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Chandler. Her parents, husband, one son, one daughter, two sisters, and one brother preceded Iris in death. Survivors include, One Daughter, Patsy Newnam of Chandler, OK, Six Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, Twenty Great-great Grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends, Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Fred B. Rider and Rev. Don Hargis officiating. Burial will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
