Irene Fairfax Evans, Seminole, Oklahoma, resident, was born on December 7, 1918, in Tryon, Oklahoma, and departed this life in Seminole, Oklahoma, on November 5, 2007, at the age of 88 years Irene was the daughter of Wilbur Garland and Mary Ann Melchert Haley. She graduated from Carney High School in 1937. Irene married Leo ?Pete? Wesley Evans, on March 21, 1952 in Burlington, Colorado. She was a home maker and master gardener. Irene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cortez, Colorado. His parents, husband, two brothers; Ira E. Howser and J.B. Howser preceded Irene in death. Survivors include, Nieces & nephews, Daryl & Cheri Howser of Seminole, OK, Jerrod & Tyler Howser of Stillwater, OK, J.B. & Sondra Howser of Oklahoma City, David Bryan Howser of Weatherford, OK, Marvin Evans of Stroud, OK, Lovita Brewer of Stroud, OK, Alan & Sue Crump of Maumelle, AR, Special friends, Jimmy & Nelda Barnett of Albuquerque, NM, Other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007, 10:00 AM, at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev. Glen Pence officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
