Ione Margaret Dorrell

Ione Margaret (Tate) Dorrell was born on July 23, 1923, in Mountain View, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Ione, the daughter of Sam Oscar and Radie Mae (Hines) Tate, lived most of her life in Mountain View. She moved to Prague a few months ago to be near family. She married Haskell Henry Dorrell in 1939 in Mountain View. Ione was a homemaker and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her parents, husband, three brothers, and two sisters preceded Ione in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon Dorrell of Cache; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jim Weston of Paden, Sue and Joe Newby of Burns, TN; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Mountain View, OK with Rev. Aubrey Cowan, Rev. Jack Brown, and David Weston officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain View. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
