Iola Virginia Gulley

Iola Virginia Gulley was born on May 11, 1923, in Stigler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2010, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Iola, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Freeman) Nance, was a resident of Paden. She married Cleo Gulley on January 23, 1945 in Spiro, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in July of 2004. Iola and Cleo lived in California for 30 years and returned to Oklahoma in 1979. Iola was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, and quilting. Her parents; one daughter, Marilyn Gulley; two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jessye and Linda Gulley of Santa Rosa, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Donald Sharp of Paden; grandchildren, Tim and Melissa Gulley of Santa Rosa, CA, Mike and Cindy Gulley of Santa Rosa, CA, Stacey Sharp of Manhattan, KS; great-grandchildren, Julianne Gulley, Brooklynn Fipps, Leah Gulley, Denver Fipps, Ashlye Gulley. Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, January 2, 2011, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Wayne Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
