Inez Holman was born on May 17, 1922, in Timbo, Arkansas, and departed this life on September 29, 2013, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Inez, the daughter of Charles and Arizona Johnson, was a resident of Tryon, Oklahoma. Inez married Harley Tracy Holman on December 20, 1947, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was famous for her chocolate cake. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Georgia Johnson, and brothers, Doyce Johnson and Malone Johnson. Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Harley and Carol Holman of Tryon, Oklahoma and Charles and Sharon Holman of Ripley, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Gaile and Bruce Woods of Holdenville, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Janetta and Joe Ray of Minco, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law and wife, Ray and Mary Alice Holman of Okemah, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Michael Dean and Emily Holman, Susan Renea and Jerod Bean, Tracy and Toni Woods, Cory and Mika Woods, Diane and Stephen McCoy, Chase and Brandy Huston, and Kelli and Willis Ross; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; great nephews, Kendall and Randall Ray; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Tryon, Oklahoma with Cory Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Tryon Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
