Imogene Franklin Jones

Imogene Franklin Jones was born on October 27, 1927, in Piedmont, OK, and departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at her home in Choctaw, OK, at the age of 83 years. Imogene, the daughter of Jim and Ethel (Major) Welch, was a former resident of Chandler. She married Virgil Franklin on November 26, 1948, in Chandler. Imogene worked at Wal-Mart in Chandler for many years, and was a former secretary at the First Baptist Church in Chandler Her parents, two husbands, four brothers, and one sister preceded Imogene in death. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Lynn Ragland of Choctaw, brother, Bob Welch of Stockton, CA, sisters, Edith Phipps of Chandler, Willie Kalka of Davenport, OK, granddaughter, Michelle Crouch, great-grandsons, Gray and Matthew, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 13, 2011, at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler with Brother Rick Blackwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
