Illa Gayle Laird

Illa Gayle Laird, Meeker, Oklahoma, resident was born on January 22, 1927, in Keota, Iowa, and departed this life on Thursday, February 18, 2010, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 83. Illa was the daughter of John and Geneva Amelia (Chapman) Stabenow. She married Tilson C. Laird on March, 11, 1946, in Baja, California. Illa worked at Tinker Air Force Base on the B-52 Bomber. She was a member of the Mammoth Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, two daughters, two sisters and two brothers preceded Illa in death. Survivors include, two daughters, Faye Worthen of Meeker, Oklahoma, Vickie Pfeiffer of Meeker, Oklahoma, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Rossville Cemetery near Wellston, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
