Idella L. Smith

Idella L. Smith, Whitney, Texas resident, formally of Carney, Oklahoma, was born on March 20, 1913, in Hulett, Wyoming, and departed this life on September 5, 2005, in Whitney, at the age of 92 years. Idella was the daughter of Charles Wilford and Bertha Jane Pownell Miller. She married Alfred Smith on April 20, 1938, in Hennessy, Oklahoma. Idella was a teacher and a farmer?s wife. She moved to Texas, in November of 2002. Idella was a member of the Carney Christian Church. Her parents, husband, two infant daughters, Sharon K. and Alfreda M. Smith; one sister, Rudy L. Mott; and one brother, Harold F. Miller; preceded Idella in death. Survivors include: Son:James W. Smith of Whitney, TX; Daughter: Lois Anita Gray of Cameron, MO; Sister:Cleo M. Goodman of Salem, OR; Three Grandchildren; Five great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends.
