Hulen P. "Corky" Jones

Hulen P. 'Corky' Jones, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born August 31, 1928. Corky passed from this life on June 26, 2017, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years. Corky was the son of Thurman and O.Z. 'Saucie' (Brantley) Jones. He married Wilma Jean Jones on August 12, 1949, in Chandler, Oklahoma. After serving two years in the United Sates Marine Corps, Corky started his oil filed career, which he would continue until his retirement. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, and fishing for catfish was his favorite. Corkys favorite pastime was eating his fried catfish with family and friends, nobody could cook like Corky. His parents; wife, Wilma Jean Jones; granddaughter, Carrie Rene McNeil; brother Autry Jones; sisters, Joy Sheppard and Pat Stuckey, and son-in-law, Melvin Porter, preceded Hulen in death. Survivors include three daughters, Schenena Porter, Janice Killion, and Rhonda McNeil; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, June Jenkins, sister-in-law, Nelda Matthews; and close friend Jack Inman. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
