Our beloved Houston Glover Crittenden died Sunday, January 3, 2021. Born on July 13, 1942, Glover was 78 years old. Chief Crittenden’s law enforcement career began in Oklahoma City where he proudly served as an officer for 5 years. Later he served as Police Chief in Stroud, where he lived for 42 years. As Chief he was highly regarded and well respected by his subordinates. He served as Chief for 28 plus years until his retirement from the Stroud Police Department. Glover is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Clarice; three sons Mitchell, Dennis and Warren Crittenden, and a daughter-in-law Tisha Crittenden. He is blessed with 11 caring grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Glover is also survived by his sister Betty Glass and several nieces and nephews. The family will be having a Celebration of Life Memorial in the future and will post the information on Facebook once those arrangements have been made.
