Homer Lawrence Chivers was born on January 17, 1925, in Washington, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Homer, the son of Charles O. and Nellie Mae Crile Chivers, was a resident of Prague. He married Betty Flynn on January 24, 1948 in Ohio. Homer served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as a carpenter. His parents, one sister, two brothers, and one grandson preceded Homer in death. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Marsha Chivers of Pueblo, CO, Ted and Christy Chivers of Prague; daughters and sons-in-law, Patti Chivers of Prague, Susan and Steve Mosley of Silver City, NM, Marjorie and Al Dandy of New Port, MI, Betty and Brad Walker of Lewiston, MI, Anna and Bob Bennett of Lewiston, MI; brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Pat Chivers of Edmond; 11 grandchildren; and 19 reat-grandchildren.
