Hollie Cecelia Grissom

Hollie Cecelia Grissom was born on May 10, 1965, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on September 11, 2018, at the age of 53. Hollie, the daughter of Sam and Joi Dell (Snyder) Grissom, was a resident of Earlsboro. The Grissom family was blessed with an angel when Hollie was born and she was gifted with the ability to encourage, inspire and provide grounding for those around her. Hollie loved the colors yellow and purple, ice cream of any kind and Starbucks. She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics, horseback riding, swimming for hours at a time, bowling and exercising with her friends at the YMCA. Hollie was an avid fan of the Wheel of Fortune and The Price Is Right. She was an inspiration to many and greatly loved. Hollie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Inez Snyder and Roy and Lehella Grissom. Survivors include her parents, Sam and Joi Dell (Snyder) Grissom; brothers, Vic and Jayne Grissom and Keith and Janet Grissom; nieces, Miranda and husband, Darin Winchester, Stefanie Cooper and Amber and Keith McFerran; nephews, Tyler and Katie Grissom, Jared and Candace Grissom and Clint and Carmen Grissom; many treasured caregivers and numerous other family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers, Georgia Barnett and Brenda Murray. The Grissom family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith 7 Activities Center in Shawnee, 301 S. Kennedy Ave. Shawnee, OK 74801. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church in Earlsboro, with Chuck Ustler and Earnest Cowden officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
