Holland Wright

Holland Wright was born on November 7, 1916, in Welty, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 93. Holland, the son of John Francis Wright and Ethel (Curry) Wright Bynum, was a life long resident of the Paden area. He married Coy Valera Hoppis on November 4, 1942, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2001. Holland proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was the Postmaster in Paden for 25 years, a member of the Prague United Methodist Church, and a Mason with Lodge #201. His parents, two brothers, and one sister also preceded Holland in death Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, John and Connie Wright of Tulsa; brother, John Wright, Jr., of Paden; sisters, Pauline Holcomb of Oklahoma City and Bonnie Moore of Perkins; and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the Paden Cemetery in Paden with Rev. Wayne Ray officiating.
