Hiram A. Sands

Hiram A. 'Buddy' Sands was born on February 3, 1938, in Fewell, OK, and departed this life on Friday, January 7, 2005, in Shawnee, OK, at the age of 66. Buddy, the son of Elmer Levi and Marie Evelyn Atteberry Sands, was a long-time resident of the Prague area. He married Joyce Jan Weaver on November 8, 1985. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2003. Buddy served in the United States Army. He worked in construction, was a member of Highway Baptist Church, and VFW Post #11194. His parents also preceded Buddy in death. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tracy Warkentien of Earlsboro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Wanda Sands of Shawnee, Junior and Karen Sands of Glenpool, Paul and Patty Sands of Dallas, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn Martin of Paden Erna and Frank Drummond of Dallas, GA; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
