Henry Leroy Miller was born on April 3, 1926, in Bristow, OK, and passed away in Harrah, OK, on May 12, 2004, at the age of 78. Henry, the son of Luther M. & Nellie Pulley Miller, was a resident of Harrah, OK. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received while serving in the 10th Mountain Division, with the 85th Division of the U.S. Army, during World War II. He married Louella McNan in Bristow, OK, on December 1, 1947. Henry graduated from OSU Tech. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base as an Electrical Engineer, retiring after 30 years. After his retirement he also worked at Raytheon for 3 years & ISC for 4 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Pauline Wedel and Ruby Alexander. Survivors include his wife, Louella Miller of the home; 3 sons & daughters-in-laws, Rick & Lisa Miller of Harmon, New York, David & Shelley Miller of Edmond, and Timothy & Luan Miller of Harrah; 1 daughter & son-in-law, Susan & Jim Toombs of Oklahoma City; 1 sister, Ruth Kerber of Placentia, CA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Ferrell Cemetery in Harrah, OK, with Pastor Steve Eden officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.
