Henry Lee Jackson

Henry Lee Jackson was born in Gypsy, Oklahoma on June 30, 1921 and departed this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Lee was the son of William Andrew and Ada Estella Jackson. He was a resident of Milfay all of his life. He was in the United States Navy on the USS San Francisco where he served in WW II. He was Postmaster for 26 years, Business Man and Farmer and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milfay, Oklahoma. He married Ada Foustine Whitmore in Guthrie, Oklahoma on June 30, 1942. She preceded him in death on January 28, 1990. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 6 sisters, and 2 granddaughters. Survivors include, One Son & Daughter in Law, Thomas & Kathyrn Jackson of Milfay, Five Daughters & Sons in Laws, Ada Louise Gay of Mannford,OK, Diana & JB Peterson of Chesterfield, MO, Shirley & Fred Aikins of Sands Springs, OK, Sherri & Roland Bradfute of New Braunfels, TX, Donna & John Davenport of Rockwall, TX, Thirteen Grandchildren, Twenty Three Great Grandchildren, Other friends and relatives. Funeral Service will be held at the Milfay School Gym on Monday May 7, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Harold Gaches officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma. Memorial can be made to the First Baptist Church in Milfay, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends and family on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
