Henry Harmon Mayfield Jr.

Henry Harmon Mayfield, Jr., was born on September 17, 1940, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Prague Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Junior, the son of Henry, Sr., and Themla (Tucker) Mayfield, was a resident of Paden. He married Donna Duncan on September 29, 1965 at the First Christian Church in Prague. Junior graduated from Paden High School and proudly served his country with the Oklahoma National Guard, 45th Infantry, Thunderbirds. Junior was a self-employed carpenter and of the Pentecostal faith. His father preceded Junior in death. Survivors include his wife of 47 years:, Donna Mayfield of the home; mother, Thelma Mayfield of Prague; son, David Mayfield of Paden; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Whitson of Paden, Dana and Mike Sexton of Bristow, Dolly and Gaylen Murphy of Locust Grove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Alice Mayfield of Paden, John and Betty Mayfield of Wellston, Allen Mayfield of Prague, Louis and Sylvia Mayfield of Alabama; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Tim Beck of Prague; 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. The Mayfield family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery.
