Henry Clay Gordon was born on May 11, 1925, in Caddo County, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, October 18, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 85. Henry, the son of George Walter and Ada May (Dowdy) Gordon, was a resident of Seminole, Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Lee Mabry on December 1, 1945 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Henry worked as a driller in the oilfield, was a member of the International Order of the Odd Fellows, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Alfalfa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Survivors include his wife of 65 years:Dorothy Gordon of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Henry Lee and Susan Gordon of Seminole; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Vernon Pickett of Seminole; brother, Jim Gordon of Carnegie; sisters, Opal McBride of Carnegie, Pearl McBride of Oklahoma City, Bonnie Garner of Chickasha, Georga Nelson of Ft. Cobb, Larne Fite of Carnegie; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Doug Turney officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
