Henry Clay Cornett

Henry Clay Cornett was born in West Virginia on September 23, 1921, and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Henry was the son of Rebel Burton and Bernice Mae Rowe Cornett. Henry was a Stroud resident since 1973. He married Bonnie Christian in Arlington, TX on November 14, 1960. He retired from General Motors in Arlington, TX, and was affiliated with the Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud, OK. He was in the United States Army where he served in WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and 1 granddaughter. Survivors include, Five Sons, Joe Cornett of Stroud, OK, David Cornett of Oklahoma City, OK, Henry Cornett, Jr. of Palestine, TX, Ron Cornett of Arlington, TX, Don Cornett of Arlington, TX, Two Daughters, Ruth Hammon of Marshall, MO, Sandra Allison of Marshall, MO, Four Brothers, Charles B. Cornett of Stroud, OK, J. L. Cornett of CA, Stanley Cornett of CA, Herman Cornett of CA, Three Sisters,Ester, Virginia, and Leta all of CA, Thirteen Grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Granddaughter, Other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 1:00 P. M. with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
