Henrietta Vanesa "Gg" Ellis

Henrietta Vanesa “GG” Ellis was born on August 15, 1931, in Colony, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2015, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. GG, the daughter of William and Edna (Hadley) Cross, was a resident of Midwest City. She married Elvis E. Ellis on July 15, 1953, in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was a housewife and enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed Thunder basketball, garage sales and attending pow wows. Her parents and brother, Laverne Cross, preceded GG in death. Survivors include: her husband of 61 years, Elvis Ellis of the home; daughter, Connie Ellis of Midwest City; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Coons of Colony and Loreen Sage of Weatherford; other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM, at Sac & Fox in Stroud with Jacob Bailey, Paul Wolfe and Tommy Morris officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
