Long-time Prague resident, Helen Thelma Sharp, passed to eternal glory on September 4, 2010. She was born on February 14, 1923, in Paden, Oklahoma to Fred and Lillie Ann (Ballard) Divelbiss. On July 14, 1947, she married Dempsey G. Sharp in Muskogee, Oklahoma. As a young bride, she gave her life to the Lord and spent the rest of her days trusting in Him. Helen was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and a faithful member of the View of the Cross Baptist Church in Prague, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dempsey; three brothers, Wayne, Leo, and George Divelbiss; and a grandson, Charles Ernst, Jr. Helen leaves to cherish her memory, son, Vernon Sharp of Tampa, FL; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Sharp of the home, Linda Smith of Humble, TX, Barbara and Charles Ernst of Sapulpa; sister, Jesse Keeling of Yuba City, CA; brother, Fred and Lorraine Divelbiss of Newbury Springs, CA; sister-in-law, Leroni Sharp of Holdenville; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. Memorials may be made to View of the Cross Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Jerry Anderson and Rev. Joseph Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Stroud Cemetery in Stroud. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
