Helen V. Edwards was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on October 29, 1919 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Helen was the daughter of Harry and Vera (Eveler) Loyd. She was a resident of Milfay all of her life. She was a member of the Welcome Tabernacle Holiness Church in Stroud and was a homemaker. Helen married Carl Morris Edwards in Bristow on July 20, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl, September 14, 1991, 2 sisters and 1 grandson. Survivors include, One Son & daughter in law:Kenneth & Viola Edwards of Depew, OK, Two Daughter & sons in laws, Carlene & Jack Deister of O’Fallon, MO, Vera & Carmon Clark of Stroud, OK, Three Brothers, Melvin Loyd of Del City, Ivan Loyd of Oklahoma City, OK, Harold Loyd of Oklahoma City, OK, One Sister, Wilma Shutler of Stroud, OK, Three Grandchildren, Terri Wilson, Keli Burns, and Carl Lindsay, Five Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held at the Welcome Tabernacle Holiness Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Brother Nathan Wood & Brother Ronnie Loyd officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
