Helen Cooper was born on November 6, 1926, in Okarche, Oklahoma and died on Saturday, February 12, 2011, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Helen, the daughter of Michael and Caroline (Maschino) Schwarz , was a long time resident of Prague. She married Carl Harold Cooper on July 15, 1954 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1987. Helen graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Okarche and then attended St. Anthony's Nursing School where she earned her LPN Certificate. She worked in the nursing profession for many years and was a homemaker. Additionally, she and Carl owned businesses in Prague including the Rainbow Cafe and Prague Variety Store. Helen was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters also preceded Helen in death. Survivors include, sons and daughter-in-law, Brent and Kathy Cooper of Tulsa, Brian Cooper of Prague, Bradley Cooper of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Bill Schraad of Edmond; grandchildren, Aimee Cooper of Tulsa, Garrett Schraad of Edmond, Hayden Schraad of Edmond; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Maxine Schwarz of Okarche, Mike and Catherine Schwarz of Hennessey, Ed and Mary Jane Schwarz of Yukon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Wake service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011, at 7:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with Father Price Oswalt officiating. Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Prague. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Box 488, Prague, Oklahoma, 74864.
