Helen Clariece Woody, daughter of the late Cleveland Woody Sr. and Artice Lyons Woody was born September 6, 1942 in Stroud, Oklahoma. She was the second born of 12 children. She attended Stroud High School graduating with the class of 1960. She obtained her cosmetology license from an accredited college and worked in this profession for numerous years. She later found her passion in the medical field as a licensed lab technician at Stroud Clinic for over 35 years. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Jesus First Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member for over 50 years until her health failed. At Jesus First Baptist, she served faithfully as a treasurer, church clerk, Sunday school teacher as well as assisting in all areas. As a result of her kind spirit and charming personality, she was loved by many. She departed this life Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Stroud Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Argrow; parents Cleveland and Artice Woody; her sisters: Connie Woody, Cora Story, Carrie Tubbs and Clorett Woody-Youngblood; her brothers: Cleveland Jr., Curtis James Woody, Calvin Woody, Cecil Woody and Column Woody. Helen is survived by her son, Greg Argrow, and great-granddaughter Kambree Argrow.; and other grandchildren Salonne Carter, Vishion Carter and Willow Triplett; 2 sisters: Carolyn Washington of Wichita, Kansas; and Cleolla Howard (Larry) of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 brothers: Cledell Woody of Stroud, Oklahoma; Pastor Claude T. Woody (Loretta) of Spencer, Oklahoma and Reverend Conway Woody (Nina) of Wichita, Kansas; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
