Hazel Warden Muzny was born on November 24, 1921, in Paden, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. Hazel, the daughter of G. L. 'Dan' and Ora Delia (Baize) Warden, was a resident of Oklahoma City. She was the second of seven children who survived to adulthood. She married Raymond Muzny on September 25, 1943, in Prague. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2004, Hazel was a devoted wife and mother to three daughters and a favorite “Aunt Hazel” to her many nieces and nephews. Her parents; son-in-law, Buck Banister; and three brothers, Robert C. “Short” Warden, Alfred Warden, and Russell Warden, also preceded Hazel in death. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Glynda and Don Ward of Oklahoma City, Lynda and Charles Dawson of Purcell, Karma Banister of Boerne, Texas; grandson, Clay Dawson and wife Maribeth of Purcell; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Billie Warden of Shawnee; sisters and brother-in-law, Ida Molander of Shawnee, Barabara and Dean Lane of Seminole; sisters-in-law, Sibble Warden of Shawnee, Shirley Warden of Muskogee; many Muzny-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6465 South Yale Avenue, Suite 312, Tulsa, OK 74136. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Prague Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Doyle Sharp officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
