Hazel Esta Humphrey

Hazel Esta Adams Humphrey, Harrah, OK, was born on September 9, 1913, in Mayflower, Arkansas to Joe and Lillie Mosley Adams. She departed this life on October 20, 2006, in Harrah, OK. She was 93 years and 41 days of age. Hazel was given a Governor?s Commendation which commended her for many years of service in Prayer Mission Church in downtown Oklahoma City for supporting home and foreign missions and outstanding services given to men who courageously fought for our country. Also for taking to heart the Great Commission of our Lord in sharing the Gospel with many people during her work at Prayer Mission Church, dated September 15, 2006 and signed by the Governor of Oklahoma. Her true love was sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people and living as an example for the world to see the Lord shining through her life. For the last year of her life, she was a resident of the Harrah Nursing Center, Harrah, Oklahoma, where she tirelessly witnessed for the Lord and participated in the weekly church services. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Noel Harvel Humphrey; one son, Tommy Joe; three sisters, Ruby, Mary and Jewell and one brother, Cecil. Survivors include 1 son, James Humphrey, Harrah, OK; 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Mary & Roy Mooney, Port Bolivar, TX, Ruth & Joe Montgomery, Del City, OK, Grace & Buddy Moseley, Harrah, OK; 4 grandchildren, Michael & Jo Owings, Moore, OK, Michelle & Martin Powel, Austin, TX, Simone Linn, Del City, OK, Jason & Hillary Moseley, Harrah, OK; 6 great-grandchildren, James & Nicole Powel, Austin, TX, Colton Linn, Del City, OK, Garrett Dixon, Harrah, OK, Randy Artrip, Oklahoma City, OK, Tammy Lewis, Moore, OK; 3 sisters, Myrtle Long, Little Rock, AR, Louise Wickliffe, Benton, AR, Marcelle Mauldin, Conway, AR; 2 brothers, Lewis Adams, Little Rock, AR, Shelton Adams, Denver, CO and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Paul Jackson and Rev. Robert Temple officiating. Interment will follow at the Jones IOOF Cemetery, Jones, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
