Harry Jackson Flatt was born in Stigler, Oklahoma on May 4, 1924, and departed this life in Ada, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Harry was the son of Roy and Nancy (Bibee) Flatt. Harry was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma most of his life. He was a member of the First Christian Church and worked as a supervisor for the City of Stroud. He was on the Stroud City Council. He married Ruth Genell Snow in Stigler, Oklahoma on July 17, 1944. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: one son, Donnie Flatt of Newalla, OK; one daughter, Carole Thompson of Stroud, OK; two brothers, Wes Flatt of Stroud, OK, and Gene Flatt of Stroud, OK; three sisters, Alvie Gaut of Washington State, Letta Hesser of Stroud, OK, and Louise Archiquette of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Billy Gosnell, Bobbi Lynn Parcell, Shannon Louise Taylor, and Crystal Deleon; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; other friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Joe Molencupp officiating. Service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
