Harold Wesley Lasiter, Sr.

Harold Wesley Lasiter, Sr., age 80, of Choctaw, OK, was born on September 2, 1928 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was the son of Wesley Timothy & Elsie Ann Reese Lasiter. He departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2008, in Choctaw, OK. Harold attended the Arkoma School System and then proudly served in the Calvary Division of the U. S. Army. He married Katheryn Turner on June 27, 1952 in Charleston, Arkansas. He owned and operated Town & Country Paving since 1984. Harold enjoyed reading, western movies, politics, horses, computers and convertible cars for his grandkids. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Bruton Lodge #30 in Muldrow, OK. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; son, Harold W. 'Butch' Lasiter, Jr.; 2 sisters, Louvinia Lou Quade and Bernadine Lively. Survivors include his wife, Katheryn Lasiter, Choctaw, OK; his son, Jack Lasiter, Choctaw, OK; 3 daughters & 2 sons-in-law, Linda Woyneve Cassidy, Laguna Beach, CA, Cathy & Charlie Thompson, Shawnee, OK, Marcy & Alan Scott, Wewoka, OK; 1 brother, Don Lasiter, Eufaula, OK; 2 sisters, Alene Lewis, Eufaula, OK, Irene Tuttle, Arkoma, OK; 10 grandchildren, Leah Johnson, OKC, OK, Lisa Coy, Choctaw, OK, Jennifer Coy, Choctaw, OK, Rachael Cassidy, Washington D.C., Sarah Cassidy, Boston, MA, Sam Cassidy, Laguna Beach, CA, Zachary Scott, Wewoka, OK, Ty Scott, Wewoka, OK, Johnson Scott, Lake Charles, LA, Andrea Streater, Newalla, OK; 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Faith Christian Outreach Church, Shawnee, OK, with Rev. Travis Hurst officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 8, 2008 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
