Harold A. 'Dutch' Heinzig was born on November 13, 1926, in the Township of Old Dent near Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Dutch, the son of John and Myrtle Dovie (Mobley) Heinzig, was a resident of Yukon, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Prague High School. Dutch proudly served his country with the United States Maritime Service. In 1944, he was assigned to the SS Hanley and later the SS James K. Lane. These vessels shipped materials and equipment to support the Armed Forces in the war zones of the South Pacific during World War II. Following his military service, he worked for Sears for 22 years in air conditioning, heating, and plumbing sales. He married Bonnie Jean Guinn on August 24, 1967 in Oklahoma City. Dutch was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and John in 1997, and his brother, Clyde in 2007. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Heinzig of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Karl and Betty Heinzig of Oklahoma City, Gerald and Janis Thomas of Winchester, KY, Mason Estes of Noble; sister and brother-in-law, Lavonne and Ledoy Dukes of Prague; grandchildren, Destiny, Stacy, Todd, Merle, Loren; 6 great-grandchildren.
