Harold Dean Holderfield was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on September 28, 1935 and departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Harold was the son of Noble Leslie and Nettie Mary (Henderson) Holderfield. He lived in the Stroud area most of his life. Harold retired from Boeing Aircraft after serving in their quality control department. While working for Boeing he built the hydrolics systems for the space shuttles. Harold also helped configure the wings for the B-2 Bomber project. He married Drucella Launius on November 29, 1957 in Bristow, Oklahoma. They were together until her death in March of 2014. Harold was a member of the New Covenant Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. Harold was preceded in death by his parents Noble and Nettie Holderfield, his wife, Drucella, three brothers and a sister. Harold is survived by a son, Larry Holderfield of Stroud, two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Kenny Coleman of Stroud, Starla and Mike Reed of Davenport, Two sisters, Trena Gale Mcewin of Drumright, Deloris Ann Browning of Carney, six grandchildren, Faith, Mike, Kyle, Bradley, Destiny and Cal, numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and numerous friends. Funeral Services will be held at the Parks Funeral Chapel in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jerry Murfin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Funeral Services of Stroud.
