Harlis Eugene Harper

Harlis Eugene Harper, age 76, of Choctaw, OK, was born on December 31, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Gus & Opal Lyne Harper. Harlis went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Midwest City, OK. Harlis proudly served in the U. S. Army. He married Lynna McSpadden on May 5, 1956, in Nicoma Park, OK. Harlis worked for OG&E for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, horses, going to the lake and spending time with his grandchildren. Harlis was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Lynna Harper, Choctaw, OK; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Karen & Bob Holcomb, Choctaw, OK, Krista & Steve Williams, Choctaw, OK; 5 grandchildren, Dustin Bean & fiance, Maigen Howard, Krystal Holcomb, Jennifer Holcomb, Julie Holcomb, Lea Ann & Steven Stone; 3 great-grandchildren, Jayse, Brooklynn & Levi and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Choctaw First Baptist Church, Choctaw, OK. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
