Hal “HB” Bufford King passed away on April 10, 2019 in Shawnee at the age of 81. HB was born on August 8, 1937 to Frank James and Elizabeth Ruth (Causey) King. He was born in Cunningham, Texas and later moved and grew up in California. While living in California, HB met and married the love of his life, Emma Jane (Parrish) King and the two were happily married until his death. The two of them had three boys and HB was a proud father. He loved to take the boys fishing, coached their little league teams, took them to the races and was always in charge of taking them Trick-or-Treating on Halloween. HB dedicated forty years of his life to the Southern Pacific Railroad. He retired as a foreman for the bridge crew. In his spare time, you could find HB taking a walk or enjoying a cowboy book. He HB is preceded in death by: his parents, one brother and one sister. HB is survived by his wife, Emma King; sons, Tray King, Joey King and Jerry King; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters and many nieces, nephews, family and friends, whom he loved dearly and will me him dearly. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM. They will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel and will be officiated by Bro. Tim Emmons. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. An online guestbook is available at www.parksbrothers.net.
