Greg Dean Stewart

Greg Dean Stewart, a long-time resident of Prague, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 62. Greg was born on Sunday, August 30, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Johnnie Marie (Edie) Loftin. He was the oldest of seven children and was sometimes seen as a father figure more than a brother to his siblings. Greg's dark blue eyes, that he was known for, were passed down to his daughter Shawnda. Growing up, Greg lived in Missouri for a time, before moving to Oklahoma City. He attended school at Moore Public Schools, graduating from Moore High School with the class of 1978. Years after high school Greg moved to Prague where he then lived out his life. Greg was known for his hard work ethic. His work ethic started at the age of eleven with his first job. He was skilled at many things and throughout the years, did lawn care and spent most of his working life, doing pool maintenance. Greg's hobbies included watching John Wayne Westerns, yard work around his home, and spending time with his grandchildren. Greg was best known for his honest heart and giving spirit. He would lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart and they were everything to him. He was a devoted dad, he was the best Grandpa Greg, and a loyal brother. He will be greatly missed by so many. Greg was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gene Loftin. He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Loftin; one son, Chad Stewart and his wife Angie; two daughters, Amber Stewart and Shawnda Black and her husband, Cody; seven grandchildren, Rylee Stewart, Brayden Stewart, Harley Day, Jordyn Day, Keagan Black, Karsyn Black and Silas Black; three brothers, Steve Loftin, Travis Loftin and his wife, Lisa and Glen Loftin and his husband, Clay; three sisters, Eydie Colon and her husband, Jose, Regina Smith and her husband, Doug and Misty Hardison and her husband, Rob. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
