Grace Arlene Jordan of Harrah, Oklahoma, was born May 14, 1926, at Chanute, Kansas, to George Raymond and Fannie Louise (DeCamp) Washburn. She died October 26, 2009, at age 83, at the Wolfe Living Center, Harrah, Oklahoma. Grace attended Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska and worked for a number of years as a secretary for the Missouri Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and later for the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. She married Albert Jordan on March 28, 1948, in Chanute, Kansas. They lived a number of years in Ironton, Missouri and later in Bentonville, Arkansas. They moved to Summit Ridge Retirement Community, Harrah, OK, in 2004. She was a member of the Summit Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church, Harrah, OK. Grace enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her parents, three brothers, George, Jr., Charles and Donald and one sister, Vera Harner. She is survived by two sons, Randy Jordan of Fayetteville, AR, Roger Jordan of Bella Vista, AR; foster daughter, Martha Curtis of Jackson, TN; sister, Margaret Wilson of Burlington, WA; 2 brothers, Herbert Washburn, Chanute, KS, Samuel Washburn, Albuquerque, NM; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Three Angels Broadcasting Network, PO Box 220, West Frankfort, IL 62896. Services will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Summit Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
