Gordon Van Brunt

Gordon 'Gee' Van Brunt was born on May 20, 1921, in Mulberry, Arkansas, and departed this life on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Gordon, the son of Sherman Seth and Rosie Mounce Van Brunt, was a resident of Prague. He married Mildred Mae Reed on August 28, 1942 in Mulberry, Arkansas. Gordon was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Prague and was a member of the American Legion. He was an owner/ operator of Van Brunt Lumber Products. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and six sisters. Survivors include, his wife of over 65 years, Mildred Mae Van Brunt of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie Lee and Frances Van Brunt of Prague, Ronnie and Charlotte Van Brunt of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Cliff Bryant of Prague; 7 grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, November 10, 2007, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 10:00 AM, at the Faith Bible Church in Prague with Rev. Scott Smith and Pastor Robert Croucher officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
