Goldie Mae Zwemke

Goldie Mae Zwemke was born in Fort Lupton, Colorado on July 6, 1929 and passed away surrounded by family on December 2, 2022 at her home in Cushing, OK.


Goldie was the daughter of Leslie Whetstone and Edna (Lentz) Whetstone. Goldie lived most of her life in California. She worked throughout her life from picking fruit trees with parents and siblings, managing apartment and mobile home parks for her late husband to being a chef at a couple of restaurants including her very own, the El Dorado Cafe in Livermore, Ca. Goldie really loved helping her family no matter what, she was their biggest supporter. She also treasured getting to go to the casino, camping, fishing, and bowling. Goldie was very active even up until her passing. Goldie’s kind spirit and spunky attitude will be missed.


Goldie is preceded in death by her former husband, Marion Butterfield, husband Ordell “Bud” Zwemke; her parents Leslie “Pa” and Edna “Ma” Whetstone; son Joseph “Joe” Butterfield; daughter Sandra Butterfield; sister Ruth Ann “Sunny” Saarloos; and brother Sonny Whetstone and his wife Ina.


Goldie is survived by her granddaughter Jodi Keller and husband Jeffrey; granddaughter Shannon Ralls and husband Tommy; grandson JD

Butterfield and wife Candace; grandson DJ Butterfield and wife Tiffany; great grandchildren Cesilie, Whitnie, Ashleigh, Shandra, Mychael, Daryllee, Dakota, Kaitlyn, Ashlee, Chloe, Anna, Nathan, Jasper, Natalie, Maddie, and Makayelah; great great grandchildren Marceline, Adelaide, Rayne, Rylie, Ruger, Kylie, Kayson, Mylie, Emerson and Ayden; brother Ben Whetstone and her beloved dog Jewels; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended families and a host of friends.
